Upcoming Projects on the Horizon

The Port of Ephrata has filed the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) with the FAA for 2025-2030 that will be supported by grant funding.  Projects include Runway 3/21 re-surfacing and maintenance to be completed by summer 2025.  Another project is perimeter fencing around the airside portion of the Port.  This would include automatic and manual gates at each entrance to provide increased security.  The Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and ultimately the Airport Master Plan (AMP) will be reviewed and if necessary updated by 2030 to enable further improvements to the airport.  Projects involving the industrial park and rail warehouse complex are being considered but would require additional funding via state and federal grants, loans and private capital investment.
